All participants should provide at least one of the following documents:

  • a negative PCR test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 not older than 48 hours after taking the swab and performed in an EU Member State or a Schengen Area country; or
  • a certificate of a positive PCR test result for SARS-CoV-2 which is more than 21 days old but not more than six months old or a medical certificate confirming that the person has recovered from COVID-19 and that less than six months have elapsed since the onset of symptoms; or
  • proof of COVID-19 vaccination demonstrating that at least seven days have elapsed since the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, at least 14 days since the second dose of the Moderna vaccine or 21 days since the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Hotel Thermana Park Lasko will be booked exclusively for participants of the Paralympic WQT. Before checking in, all participants will be provided by medical staff with a quick antigen test on arrival (free of charge). Only participants tested positive for COVID-19 will be sent to the PCR test (also free of charge). Any participant needing a PCR test before returning to his or her country (due to airline request or border patrols) will be offered to be tested during the tournament (110 euros to be paid by the participant).

In case any participant is tested positive with the PCR test, he or she will be isolated in a different hotel (Hotel Zdravilišče Laško located at walking distance). Additional accommodation costs incurred during the isolation will be paid by the participant.

Medical and travel insurance is an obligation for all participants (as stated in section 23 of the prospectus). All participants are requested to ensure that their insurances will cover the costs related to being tested positive by covid-19. LOC will not cover any hospitalization or treatment costs due to COVID-19.

All athletes, coaches and supporting staff must observe the covid-19 protocols that are published at and can be amended from time to time and adjusted depending on the epidemiological situation of Slovenia and the Savinja region at the time of the event. Regardless the specific measures that are decided, there will not be any exceptions to the compliance of those protocols for any individual who has been vaccinated or has already recovered from the disease.
